Angelic Revelations of Divine Truth, Vol. II

Preface

It is again with very great pleasure that we, the Trustees of the Foundation Church of Divine Truth, Inc., present this second re-edited and new message arrangement of many of God’s Divine Truths, as revealed to us by Jesus of Nazareth, Master of the Celestial Heavens, and a host of his Celestial brethren, and communicated to us through the past mortal instrumentalities of Mr. James E. Padgett and Dr. Daniel G. Samuels by way of their gifted automatic writing channeling.

It was in June 1989 when volume I of Angelic Revelations of Divine Truth, formerly titled True Gospel Revealed Anew by Jesus, was published and first made available, the new format of which has been closely followed in this present text, and which again includes messages from all four volumes of the earlier titled edition, originally published through the efforts of Dr. Leslie R. Stone and Rev. Paul Gibson, both now deceased.

The great bulk of the present text, however, comprises the messages of volume II, less a few of the more personal messages to Mr. Padgett which have been removed in order to provide space for the inclusion of some of the more noteworthy spiritual messages from volumes I, III and IV, and from “New Testament Revelations” (which contain twenty-one additional messages received by Dr. Samuels, two of which are also included in this present second volume).

Of the four volumes previously entitled True Gospel Revealed Anew by Jesus, volumes I and II contain the vast majority of the great formal messages from the Master and his angelic co-workers. This new and re-edited version of volume II, therefore, in combination with our 1989 presentation of volume I, represents a compilation of many of the highest spiritual Truths of the Father now made available to mankind. Most of these great Truths, also found in fewer number in volumes III and IV, have been presently transferred and incorporated into these new editions of volumes I and II, with almost all of the remaining messages of III and IV now comprising the more personal and experiential commentary of former mortals, now spirits, regarding their current spirit world living conditions and their relative spiritual awareness and progress therein. In the future, our beloved elder brother and dearest teacher and friend, Jesus, envisions the publication of a third new volume that will include many of these personal messages remaining in volumes III and IV. But let the words from the Master himself supply our dear readers with his authorization of this plan, revealed to us in the following quotation from a contemporary automatic writing that was obtained through a most-qualified medium of our church on October 29, 1989:

In this second new edition, we have again honored Jesus’ request that mankind no longer worship him, but rather look upon him correctly and appropriately as an elder brother who is still teaching fellow spirits, and mortals by way of these Second Coming messages, the one and only Way to salvation and At-onement with our Creator. Accordingly, all words which pertain to him are left uncapitalized, while the Great Source of Divine Love and Mercy—our Heavenly Father—is emphasized throughout this volume by the use of capitalization of all words pertaining to His Being and His Divine Will and Power, as well as His Divine Qualities and Attributes. For those of you who are interested in the enumeration of these words, please refer to the Glossary at the end of this volume. Contained therein are also many spiritual terms and concepts that are briefly explained, and which should provide the reader with a more definitive understanding of the text as a whole.

It is time, now, to introduce what we hope will impress you as being a welcome addition and a pleasant surprise! Those of you who are familiar with automatic writing in general, and Mr. James E. Padgett’s mediumistic gift in particular, will appreciate the fact that information obtained through automatic writing often comes forth in a very rapid and continuous stream of written prose. But what may not be known is that reception of these writings does not require a deep trance on the part of the medium. Furthermore, the medium is usually perfectly capable of taking a break, if you will, to either relax or to read what has been received of the transmitted message up to that point. We know, for example, that Mr. Padgett took many such breaks, not only to digest what he had just received but also to ask many reactive questions of his communicators. Unfortunately, the one service Mr. Padgett perhaps did not have the time to perform, as those who have read all four volumes of True Gospel Revealed Anew by Jesus will recall, was to actually record his own questions and to incorporate these into the messages themselves. Where the new volume I messages are concerned, this omission does not prove to be too disconcerting because the vast majority of these particular messages did not textually suggest any discernible and intervening questioning on the part of Mr. Padgett. However, this present text of volume II does contain quite a few messages where it is manifestly clear that Mr. Padgett both asked questions and made some statements of his own. But while the exact wording of his former questions and statements remains unrecorded and unknown, it was discovered that a very good paraphrased approximation could be deduced and presented to assist the reader’s fluency and understanding by attending closely to the actual textual answers that followed these unrecorded questions and statements. And this is what we did.

Rather than have our readers often confronted with abrupt and confusing changes in subject matter until succeeding paragraphs would suggest the nature of the prior omitted questions and statements, it was decided that we would supply our very best approximations of Mr. Padgett’s heretofore unrecorded conversations for the sake of preserving continuity and enhancing uninterrupted reading pleasure and facility. Of course, as has already been advanced, it must be clearly and emphatically understood that these mostly brief, created conversations of Mr. Padgett (presented in italics and brackets to separate his words from the messages themselves) are not to be taken as being the precise words he originally phrased; only very close approximations of the original sum and substance of what he had said. However, we sincerely feel that the careful and disciplined editorial license we have undertaken in this regard has resulted in a substantial improvement in textual clarity, and, after having read this volume, we truly hope that the great majority of our readers will indeed concur. Giving some additional “life” to this great man, who served the Father’s Cause and the Master’s so selflessly and so very well, also seems to be the very least we could have done to honor our dear departed brother, now a Celestial angel himself.

But there is more! Your Trustees, very interested in what Mr. Padgett might say about the use of devised questions and statements for him, decided to call upon him personally through the same excellent medium who received the Master’s message of October 29, 1989, quoted above. An excerpt from Mr. Padgett’s very loving and multi-faceted response of March 9, 1991 is offered hereunder in supportive corroboration of what we had felt soulfully guided to present:

Before closing, we would like to urge all our readers to read and enjoy the introductory material of Dr. Daniel G. Samuels (“The True Mission of Jesus”) before proceeding to the spiritually illuminating messages to follow. This work by Dr. Samuels is an excellent compendium of the many Divine Truths revealed to us by Jesus and other Celestial spirits who all now reside in the Father’s highest Kingdom, the Celestial Kingdom, and who have brought to us the “Keys” to this Kingdom through their many hundreds of messages, received first by Mr. James E. Padgett and later by Dr. Samuels (who was the second chosen instrument of Jesus for communicating additional Truths of the Father to mankind). Of course, nothing could substitute for, or surpass, the ensuing Celestial messages themselves; but, as a very fine summary, Dr. Samuels’ presentation is well worth the reader’s review and assimilation prior to embarking upon the great reading adventure ahead.

For those of you who have already read volume I of Angelic Revelations of Divine Truth, and for first time readers as well, we feel it is crucial that you be ever mindful of what the Celestial angels teach us is the true Way to knowledge and possession of the Father’s Divine Truths. Mental assessment of these written and stated Truths as presented in this volume, even if followed then by mental persuasion and acceptance, does not result in true ownership, surprising as this may sound upon an initial consideration. The true seat of Truth, as with love—both God’s and man’s—is not located in the evanescent and fallible reasoning mind, but in the timeless and unfailing soul. And since the Source of all Truth is God Himself, in order for mankind to share in this, His Truths, if they are to be received at all, must be transmitted from His Soul to our souls. As our dear Celestial brethren explain, God’s Truths are inherent in His Divine Essence, the Life of which is His Divine Love. Therefore, where mankind is concerned, Truth need not be a mere transitory and essentially lifeless concept of the mind, but, potentially, an eternal Living Force of the soul.

And how do we obtain these highest of God’s Living spiritual Truths—the one and only Way? Through prayer to Him. We are told that spiritual Truth possession is a progressively evolving process which grows according to the development of the soul in receiving God’s Divine Love through prolonged and fervent prayer. The more the Divine Love that enters and permeates our souls, the greater becomes our understanding and possession of those spiritual Truths inherent in this Love. In this way, the understanding that may begin as a mental knowledge deepens through our souls’ growing perceptions and culminates in eternal ownership. And, thus, the highest Truths of God may become progressively known and possessed by each soul who seeks At-onement with our Heavenly Father through the Gift of His Divine Love.

As a final word, your present Trustees would like to affirm again that we fully believe that these many and glorious Truths of the Father contained in this volume have truly come to us from the highest Celestial angels of God’s highest Kingdom, the Celestial Kingdom, where no error or untruth can enter and where only Truth exists and flourishes. And we leave you now with our heartfelt prayer that God bless you all abundantly with His Divine Love in response to your own sweet communications with Him, transforming your souls into His Essence and insuring your eternal happiness in His Kingdom of Bliss.
